Who is a Child Developmentalist and What Do They Do?
A Child Developmentalist is a health/education professional who graduated from a 4-year university program, evaluating and supporting the cognitive, language, motor, social, and emotional development of children aged 0-18. A child developmentalist works not only when the child has problems but also to maximize their potential during the normal development process. They administer developmental screening tests, provide counseling to families in hospitals, schools, and special education centers, and prepare play-based support programs.
